TV Sonnets #4, #5 and #6
Oralian TV Sonnet #4
No one told you life was gonna be this way?
Dancing in fountain, oh my lord they’re fun!
Fans of this show are mostly girls and gay
On for 10 seasons, bad show had good run
Courteney Cox was chef yet stayed pencil thin
Schwimmer such sad sack, go shoot self in face
Only funny one was Matt’s Chandler Bing
Kudrow unfunny, go shoot self in face
Affording apartments that big, ludicrous
Pre-awesome Paul Rudd makes guest appearance,
Awesome for LeBlanc, many hot girls he kissed
DVD’s now on ‘Marts rack of clearance.
Only good episode had lightning round,
Show was success, movie careers burned to ground.
Oralian TV Sonnet #5
Make my life simpler you are my favorite
Sports take up too much of my time I miss shows
I take advantage of you I’ll admit
Like nothing else, to me my whole you know
You don’t judge me that I watch Top Model,
I name the show you’ll gladly record it
From houses on HGTV remodeled
To daytime soaps that I refuse to quit
South Park, Family Guy and all cartoons
NBC sitcoms like great 30 Rock,
Reality shows like Beach of Lagoon
Let’s not forget Venture’s Samson, Brock.
All my shows always at my fingertips,
Ode to my DVR, I give you hugs and kiss
Oralian TV Sonnet #6
Life is good for lead on NBC show,
And he stars on The Soup flagship for E!,
He tours around nation, sells out all shows
Plays smart-ass ex-lawyer on Community.
I’ll admit he is very attractive
A tall stature and a good head of hair
Snazzy clothing he wears always a gift
I bet his wife and kids also have good hair
Very sarcastic that’s why I’m a fan
I feel a divorce is coming on soon
He’s getting famous, that’s how LA pans
He’s def getting offered oodles of poon.
Always been a fan, glad he got his due,
Now stop dressing like a hipster on The Soup

Regarding Oralian TV Sonnet #4, I have several issues. First, the show was not bad for all 10 seasons. Seasons 1 through 6 were actually quite good. Admittedly the final seasons of the show, specifically once Monica and Chandler moved in together, were nothing more than the actors trying to make as much money as they can for as long as NBC was willing to pay them to pretend it was 1997 again.
Second, despite her career choice Monica’s weight was kept in check due to her never-mentioned eating disorders caused by being friends with Rachel.
Third, do not insult Ross. He was the one bright spot on the show throughout its duration. The man shines, awkwardly.
And lastly, it is a well known fact that Monica’s apartment was affordable because it was actually her grandmother’s lease that was rent-controlled. Monica lived there illegally. This fact was referenced regularly on the show, and in one instance the building’s porter threatened to tell the landlord that they were illegal tenants. I think Joey agreed to give him dancing lessons to avoid any problems.
